Who We Are
Minnesota’s Leading Voice for Reason
Minnesota Atheists is the state’s oldest and largest atheist organization — a community of freethinkers, humanists, and secular advocates united around evidence, reason, and shared values. We’re a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit with deep roots in Minnesota’s civic life.
We actively promote the positive contributions atheists make to society, champion the constitutional separation of church and state, and build a welcoming community for those who live without religion.
⚖️
Church–State Separation
We advocate for a secular government free from religious influence, protecting rights for all.

“Promoting the positive contributions of atheism — and maintaining a wall between state and church.”
We believe in a world where people are judged by their character and deeds — not by their religion or lack thereof. Our members include teachers, scientists, artists, parents, and professionals united by a commitment to reason, compassion, and democratic values.
